Care starts with the garment label. Always follow the instructions for your individual piece, including any dry-clean-only or special washing requirements.
Before washing
- Separate colours and check the care label for temperature and wash-cycle instructions.
- Close zips and empty pockets.
- Check whether the garment should be washed inside out or separately.
Washing & drying
Use the method, temperature and detergent type permitted by the label. Avoid bleach unless expressly allowed. Follow the drying instructions, and keep heat within the stated limits.
Knitwear & textured pieces
Handle wet knitwear gently and avoid stretching. Reshape and dry flat when the label directs you to. Fold pieces that may lose their shape on a hanger.
Denim & washed finishes
Follow any separate-wash instructions. Take care around light fabrics and upholstery if the label warns about colour transfer.
