Start with the individual piece
There is no single fabric or washing routine across the BLANKZ wardrobe. Read the product details and the care label on the item you receive.
Composition and construction are different
Cotton, lyocell and polyester describe fibers. Waffle, rib, jersey and jacquard describe aspects of how a fabric is made or appears. A surface name alone does not tell you the complete fiber composition.
Check the colorway
Read any color-specific fabric or finish notes for the option you choose. Heather, mineral wash and vintage wash are not interchangeable, and the same color name across two styles does not establish an exact match.
Understand fabric weight
GSM describes fabric mass per unit area, not the shipping weight of the finished garment. It does not by itself establish softness, warmth or durability. Consider the weight alongside the construction and fit.
Before washing
Read the temperature, drying and ironing instructions on the care label. Check guidance about similar colors, dyed finishes and closures. Do not apply a treatment from another garment's instructions without checking that it is appropriate.
Denim, knit layers and textured pieces
Different constructions and finishes can need different handling. Follow the item-specific instructions for washing, reshaping, drying and ironing. Do not assume that a routine for a tee is suitable for a cardigan, jacket or washed denim piece.
Keep a reference
Save a photo of the care label and, where useful, the garment's initial measurements. If an instruction is unclear, contact hello@theblankz.com with the product name and a clear photo before trying a treatment.
